Spring has sprung...

Lily Opening, originally uploaded by alohadave.

This Lily is starting to grow after I transplanted it last year. It should go through it's cycle before the hostas nearby overwhelm it.

Corinth Canal

Corinth Canal, originally uploaded by alohadave.

This canal was dug to allow ships to save time coming from the Gulf of Corinth to the Aegean Sea.

60 meters to the water, 25 meters wide at the base, and 8 meters deep.

It is now mainly used for small cargo ships and small cruise ships as newer ships can afford to just go around.

The Parthenon

We just got back from Greece today, and this is the first of many shots.

The Parthenon is an amazing thing to see, and everyone should see it in person.
