Double-sided bench

We came across this bench while walking around Jamaica Pond. It's an art piece that is periodically installed at the pond. Looks good for sleeping in, not so much for sitting.

Cormorant

I went on a photowalk with some members of the Boston contingent of the PDML with a visiting member from NYC.

Cormorants have reached legendary status on the list over the years, and have been adopted as the unofficial mascot of the group.

We were walking around Jamaica Pond when we spied this one. At first it seemed to be a Great Blue Heron, it revealed it's true identity as we got closer.

This is my first cormorant sighting.
