Carson Beach in South Boston. The beach is frozen over with snow from several large storms from this record breaking winter. Even so, there are hints of summer with the volleyball net still in place, as if taunting us to come back to the beach.

The Boston fireworks that weren't

Well, I went out to shoot Boston's fireworks last night. There was a thunder cell passing over the city, and I was on the highest ground in the city. The Park Rangers closed the park and had everyone leave because of the storm coming in. They also temporarily evacuated the main viewing site.

Well the show went on, but I had already left. Turns out that about an hour after I left, two people got hit by lightning. Yikes.

Anyway, I got a few shots of small fireworks before I packed it up.

President Clinton attended a rally for US Congressman, Stephen Lynch's re-election campaign. It was held at the Local #7 Ironworkers Hall on Old Colony Road in South Boston, on Thursday, July 29th, 2010.

Fire in South Boston

I was in South Boston Friday night after having dinner with friends (Morton's yum!).

As we drove by this building, we noticed smoke coming out of the roof. After we called 911, we circled around the block and parked so I could get pictures and watch the firefighters work.

The Boston Fire Department responded with at least 7 trucks, 4 ladders and 3 engines that I saw.

They had the fire under control and mostly out in under an hour.
