Rings Fountain - Boston

I went in to Boston the other night to shoot with a group that I haven't been out with in a while.

We started at the Rings Fountain in the Wharf District Parks of the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

Prime Lens walkabout

I went with several members of the Boston Photo Mob on a Prime Lens Sunday walk. The premise is to use only a single prime lens for the duration of the walk.

North Point Park Panorama

I attended a meetup with some local photo friends at North Point Park in Charlestown.

This is what happens when you do everything correctly.

New England Aquarium

I went to the New England Aquarium yesterday with a couple fellow Flickrites. It's a neat place to wander through, though it's very dark, and wouldn't you know that nothing sits still for a camera.

Floating Heads

I went out for a Flickr meetup at North Point Park in Charlestown. It has a great scenic view of the Zakim Bridge, and the West End, along the Charles River.

I've got plenty of shots of the bridge, so I decided to play with my flash.

Christian Science Mother Church

I went in to Boston on Friday to meet up with some fellow Boston area photographers from Flickr. It was bitterly cold and windy, and parking was impossible to come by. By the time I got a spot in a nearby garage, there were only two people left.

The reflecting pool was partly frozen, with random chunks of ice on top.

illuminaleBoston 2008

Boston hosted a lighting event for 5 days where 9 buildings and bridges were lit using "sustainable lighting". I met up with several people from Flickr.

Some of the displays were interesting, and I've never seen so many tripods and dSLRs in Boston.
