Fire in South Boston

I was in South Boston Friday night after having dinner with friends (Morton's yum!).

As we drove by this building, we noticed smoke coming out of the roof. After we called 911, we circled around the block and parked so I could get pictures and watch the firefighters work.

The Boston Fire Department responded with at least 7 trucks, 4 ladders and 3 engines that I saw.

They had the fire under control and mostly out in under an hour.

Fishing for Striped Bass

I went fishing with a friend last Thursday. We were in Quincy Bay fishing for Stripers.

We caught three, tossed one back. The two we kept were 34 inches, 13 pounds, and 37 inches 19 pounds.

Strobist Boot Camp II: Assignment 3

David Hobby is running a series of lighting assignments with prizes for the winning entry. I didn't do the first two assignments, but this one grabbed my interest.

The theme is interior architectural.

My submission is my bathroom. I wanted to show something different than a standard static shot. So, I had the shower going and lit the inside to catch the water falling.

The deadline is Aug 14th, so we'll know sometime after then if it is first prize material.
