Pond Street Cemetery, Braintree

I did some shots using my 50-200 to see what I could do with distance shots and trying to blur backgrounds. Unfortunately, the lens is at f5.6 at 200mm, so it didn't blur as much as I had hoped.

Plymouth clouds at sunset

My wife and I drove down to Plymouth, Ma to eat at Red Robin. We go down about every other month or so.

After dinner, she went shopping and I stayed in the car to read and take pictures.

Squantum Point Park

I went to Squantum Point Park on Sunday. It is an old airfield that has been converted into a hiking/biking park, with views of the Boston skyline and parts of Dorchester.

This seawall is almost completely rusted away and it seems the only thing holding it up is momentum.

This is the famous Gas Tank. Currently owned by National Grid, the other side is famous for having Ho Chi Minh painted in profile in the blue stripe.

Several people were walking along the top of the concrete of the seawall.

Scanned some old film

I scanned a couple old film frames.

I also got the prints back from my first 120 roll from the Brownie. I don't think I re-rolled the film tight enough, because I had some streaks across parts of a couple frames that look like they could be from edge exposure to light. I have to find the flatbed scanner now to get the prints scanned.

Shooting with the Brownie is certainly different than anything else I've ever shot.

Blue Hills Nike Missile site

I went to an abandoned Nike Missile site today. It was a quick and dirty expedition to see what out there. It appears to be semi-active since a truck drove through as I was finishing up.

This is the main launch pad that the missiles were prepped and launched from. The elevators have been covered with fill and are inaccessible.

These appear to be the motor pool or maintenance building.

This is a generator building next to the motor pool building. It looks like there were 3 generators here.
