The personal photoblog of David Parsons, in Quincy, MA
Nice! Just this past week, excavators unearthed dozens of old bottles from our yard. Nothing this fancy, but I've been trying to come up with an idea for photo... can I ask how you lit this? I love the rim light here.
It is an umbrella behind the bottle, with a piece of black paper between the umbrella and the bottle. The umbrella gives it the rim light, and the paper gives the black background. You can kind of see the shape of the paper through the glass.I had apple juice in it before the water that is in this shot. It refracts more light and gives a bit more detail.I'll send you a wide shot that shows everything.
