I went to Fort Revere today with a friend to explore. It's a neat abandoned gun placement with empty rooms and passageways that you can wander around in.
Boston Light is the oldest lighthouse in America, in operation since the early 1700's. Behind it is Graves Light.

Coins from Thailand
I borrowed an enlarger from my camera club to take these shots.
These are coins from Thailand that I got while I was there in 2001.

Lincoln Park, Dartmouth, Ma
I went with a friend to an abandoned amusement park in North Dartmouth, Ma on Sunday. It was a small park by modern standards, with a wooden coaster as the centerpiece.
The rollercoaster is still mostly standing, though the first hill collapsed in 2005 under a heavy load of snow. It's been scheduled for demolition for a while, but is still up for now.
This is the motor that pulled the train up the hill. It's mostly a shell now.

Fore River Bridge
Last night, I went over to the Fore River Bridge after my camera club meeting. I was going to take some pictures of the USS Salem, when I saw that the bridge was up.
It's eerily quiet when the deck is moving. No cars are moving, and all you hear is the pulleys squeaking.

Aruba vacation pictures, part 5
I took a fair number of night time shots on this vacation. Even though I brought my tripod, I barely used it. Mostly, I set the camera down on a chair or bench.
I played with flash on this one. Once from each side of the frame to bring up the light and colors a bit.
One of my goals while in Aruba was to visit some cemeteries. This one, St Anna's Cemetery in Noord, consisted of crypts that were mostly above ground. The ones that are in the ground are concrete boxes with the coffins placed in them. From what I understand, the water table is just a few feet down, so most are aboveground.

Levaland Farm rodeo practice
The owner of Levaland Farm in Middleboro, Ma, invited members from the South Shore Camera Club to take pictures of their rodeo practice.
The indoor arena was very dark, so getting a clean shot was very difficult.

Floating Heads
I went out for a Flickr meetup at North Point Park in Charlestown. It has a great scenic view of the Zakim Bridge, and the West End, along the Charles River.
I've got plenty of shots of the bridge, so I decided to play with my flash.

Aruba vacation pictures, part 4
The lobby of the Riu has this wonderful stained glass ceiling panel above the main chandelier.
Who wouldn't want to spend some time relaxing on the beach?
These kids are able to swim at the beach at the Westin.

Model shoot with Luna-bella
Yesterday afternoon, I shot a model shoot with a local model from Model Mayhem.
It was my first actual model shoot.
I certainly have much to learn about posing and directing, but we all have to start somewhere.
If you are interested in booking her, contact her through her Model Mayhem page here: http://www.modelmayhem.com/Gothicdeva

Exacta VX IIa and lenses
A friend from the South Shore Camera Club lent me a couple old film cameras to clean and photograph.
This one is an Exacta VX IIa with a Westagon f/2 50mm lens, and a Meyer-Optik Trioplan f/2 100mm lens. Built like a tank and hefty, this copy is from 1958-60.
