Snowy bench

There is a small park right in front of city hall in Quincy. The trees are lit, and Frosty and Santa greet you from the street. Very pretty at night with the snow.

John

Another model from the model shoot that I attended. John wasn't even supposed to be a model, but he has such great character, I couldn't resist getting him in front of the camera.

Kurt

I attended a model shoot on Sunday with the New England Photography Network. Kurt was a virgin model. We were able to pop his cherry, and he is a natural.

Discarded TV

I came across this broken TV while looking for other things. The screen has been smashed, and you can see some of the internals. It's interesting to see how thick the glass of a TV (called the envelope) is, and why CRT TVs are so heavy. That thick glass is along the entire tube. It's really not surprising why LCDs and Plasmas have taken their place just in terms of having to move them.

Squantum bunkers

There is a semi-hidden spot in Squantum, near Marina Bay that has about a dozen old bunkers from some old military installation.

The area is over grown with weeds and marsh grasses.

John Quincy Adams' Wreath Laying Ceremony

I attended the Wreath Laying Ceremony for John Quincy Adams, for second year. The wreath is sent by the sitting President in honor of each deceased President's birthday. John Quincy's birthday is July 11th, so they held the ceremony on Friday, July 9th.

Of special note is that Senator Scott Brown attended. He holds the same seat in the Senate that John Quincy Adams did.
